The couple got married on July 30th 2011, at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh.

The couple ventured out onto the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park for the first time, despite having visited Australia on numerous occasions previously.

Mike Tindall wrote on Instagram: “We had the chance to spend a few days on Hamilton Island this week – despite all the times we have been to Australia, we have never been here before and it’s been amazing.”

He described their reef experience as “unreal”, noting that “Queensland definitely has it all.”

The royal couple’s time on the water left a lasting impression, with Mike sharing his enthusiasm about the marine park experience.

“It’s our first time being out on the water in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park too and it really was unreal,” he posted on Instagram.

The former rugby player reflected on their Queensland holiday, writing: “Made some incredible memories. What an unforgettable way to spend some downtime.”

Their Australian visit also included attending the State of Origin rugby league decider in Sydney last week.

The couple were guests of former Queensland fullback Billy Slater and Nicole Rose for the match, where they witnessed Queensland’s commanding 24-12 victory over New South Wales.
