
Speaking to the media, Thirumavalavan said, “We had friendly ties with the AIADMK during the 2009 parliamentary elections. That understanding continues even today. Though we are not in alliance now, there is no hostility.”
He also stated that his party would take a decision on alliances for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections at the right time. Thirumavalavan emphasized that the focus now should be on unity among secular and social justice forces to counter the BJP’s rise.
