A new feasibility study is underway to explore the possibility of a high-speed rail corridor connecting Hyderabad and Chennai.
The proposed route would significantly reduce travel time between the two major cities, cutting the journey to just over two hours, a major improvement over the current 12-hour train travel time.
The study is being conducted by RITES Limited. This project is part of a larger government initiative to introduce high-speed rail networks to link key cities in southern India.
