
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday inaugurated newly constructed classrooms at two schools in Kancheepuram, built at a total cost of ₹13.94 crore. The inauguration took place at the Arulmigu Ekambaranathar Matriculation Higher Secondary School and the Anjugam Primary School.
The new infrastructure was developed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE) Department to improve the learning environment for students. During the event, the Chief Minister also distributed schoolbags and bicycles to students, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting education and student welfare.
HR and CE Minister P.K. Sekarbabu and Chennai Mayor R. Priya were present at the function, along with local officials and school authorities.
The initiative is part of the state’s broader efforts to enhance educational infrastructure and accessibility, especially in institutions managed under the HR and CE Department.
