Spirit audio teaser: Prabhas has ‘one bad habit’ in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s cop drama, but Prakash Raj won’t have any of it | Telugu News

Months after Deepika Padukone exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, the makers have released the first glimpse of the film. On actor Prabhas’ birthday, the team of the film released a minute-long audio teaser featuring stars Prabhas and Prakash Raj. The teaser gave some hints about the narrative of the film as well.

Titled ‘Sound Story’, the audio teaser features the voices of Prakash Raj, Prabhas and the director Vanga himself. Raj seems to be playing a cop, while Vanga is playing his junior. Prabhas is presumably also on the side of the law, but much like the officers from Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, he is somewhat of a troublemaker. Vanga pleads with Raj to show some leniency and respect to Prabhas, as he an IPS officer here, but Raj is having none of it, as he wants to make an example out of him.

He lays down the law about how officers should be dressed under his command, which sounds like the point of contention between Prabhas and him, although there are bound to be more things they don’t agree on. Finally, after a speech about what’s right and wrong and the type of behaviour that is acceptable from a police officer, the fans finally hear Prabhas’ voice. He says, “Mr Superintendent, right from my childhood, I just have one bad habit.”

The controversy around Spirit peaked when Deepika Padukone parted ways with the project over unfair scheduling and improper remuneration. Her exit sparked a long debate in the country regarding the acceptable working hours for an actor. She was then replaced by actor Triptii Dimri, who has previously worked with Vanga in Animal.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film is being backed by T Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. The cast of the film includes Prabhas, Triptii Dimri, Kanchana, Vivek Oberoi, and Prakash Raj.
