To mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a grand way, city MP and Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol is organising a spectacular drone laser show to highlight the PM’s achievements in his 11-year tenure.
“The 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be celebrated across the country through various initiatives under the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ (Fortnight of Service) starting September 17,” Mohol said. “On September 16, the eve of the PM’s birthday, a drone show, an aid camp for the differently abled and a musical evening will be organised at SP College ground,” he added.
A spectacular drone show “Jyotine Tejachi Aarti” will be organised to extend birthday wishes to the PM. Mohol said this will be the first time in Maharashtra that a drone show will be organised on the lines of shows in Ayodhya and Varanasi in the past.
“It aims to offer a glimpse of the vision of a developed India. The 3D drone show will last 45 minutes and around 1,000 drones will showcase the achievements of the Modi government, along with Pune’s social, cultural, and historical landmarks. The journey towards a developed India envisioned by the PM will be depicted,” Mohol said, adding that thousands of drones will take to the skies and the show will be visible in a four-km radius.
In the aid camp for the differently abled, 1,750 assistive devices will be distributed to over 1,200 beneficiaries for free.
Renowned singer and music composer Avadhoot Gupte will perform in a live concert. Also, 75,000 students from Pune will send postcards with birthday wishes to PM Modi. Messages from students of various schools across Pune will be compiled and sent directly to the PM, Mohol said.
