Sir Rod Stewart has shared with fans a fresh insight into his relationship with wife Penny Lancaster, 54, after the 80-year-old legend took to Instagram to share a sweet message to a post from his other half.
Stewart has been married to the former model and television personality since 2007. The couple met in 1999 and share two children together, Alistair and Aiden.
Posting on her social media, Lancaster and Stewart shared a pic of the pair sitting together at swish 5-star hotel restaurant.
The pair were seen beaming at the camera, with the English model and Loose Women star holding the musician’s hand between hers.
“Back out on town – together again,” Lancaster captioned the post, geotagging the swanky Hotel d’Anga leterre in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Resharing the post on his own page, Stewart shared his delight at being reunited with his wife amid their hectic work schedules as he added a bright red love heart emoji between them both.

The post is the latest update from the Maggie Mae hitmaker, after giving fans a quirky insight into a trip to Lithuania last week in much more humble surroundings.
Stewart shared a photo of himself sporting a Glasgow Celtic hoody, his beloved football team, leaning in the doorway of a tiny coffee shop. “Lithuania’s answer to Starbucks, but the cappuccino is heavenly. Sir Rod,” he said of the Baltic state’s NYC Coffee.
Elsewhere, Lancaster gave another intimate insight into her lockdown life with her husband and when tensions bubbled over. Speaking to the Loose Women podcast, the former model revealed she had “blown a circuit” when making dinner for Stewart and their sons.
“It was during the lockdown when I didn’t realise I was going through menopause,” she began.

“I thought I was going through a depression, and I made this dinner for my boys and my husband, and I was calling out and calling out,” Lancaster explained.
When they finally appeared, Lancaster revealed she: “literally picked up the plates and burst into tears, and threw them across the kitchen. The dinner ended up on the walls, I ended up on the floor in a crumpled mess.”
Stewart quickly jumped into action, telling his sons to give their mother a “minute” while he asked if she was okay. “My husband was like, ‘Right, we need to get you to a doctor, this isn’t the mummy we know, this isn’t Penny, there’s something beyond you worrying about lockdown, there’s something else going on,’” she recalled.
Lancaster surmised: “And it was the side effects of menopause, it just kind of blew a circuit. So, that was that dinner disaster.”
Following the emotional moment, the pair’s children returned and apologised while helping to clear up.
Their latest updates are some of the newest content from Lancaster and Stewart, after they both paid tribute to the late Pope Francis.
“A man of the people and the greatest Pope ever. Sir Rod,” the musician wrote, showing flags bearing the Celtic crest and an image of the Pontiff flying at half mast.
“A truly special moment meeting Pope Francis in Rome 7 years ago. #thepeoplespope #restinpeace @sirrodstewart,” Lancaster posted, sharing an image of she and her husband meeting the Pope in Rome.
