Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 19 is set to premiere in just 10 days. While the official contestant lineup remains under wraps, the makers have revealed two names in contention: actor Shehnaaz Gill’s brother, Shehbaz Badesha, and YouTube creator Mridul Tiwari. Only one of them will secure a spot on the show, and the audience will get to make that call.
Between Shehbaz and Mridul, the contestant with the highest audience votes will enter the Bigg Boss 19 house. Talking about the same, Shehbaz said in a video on Instagram, “I appeared in Bigg Boss 13, and you showered me with a lot of love. What if this time I come on the show as a housemate? That will only be possible if you vote for me. If you want me to shake up things on the show, I promise to do something so great on the show that I will be remembered forever.” Shehbaz had appeared in Bigg Boss 13 during the family week, when his sister Shehnaaz Gill was participating in the show.
Shehnaaz also supported her brother by reposting his voting link on her Instagram story and said, “You can vote 99 times.”
As SCREEN exclusively reported a few weeks ago, viewers will play a key role in shaping the narrative of this season.
Mridul Tiwari also urged fans to vote for him and said in a video on Instagram, “I hope all my brothers are doing well. You all have helped me in this journey from having zero to 19 million subscribers. You all have always supported me, and I also tried my best to give you some real content. With such a huge subscriber base, Bigg Boss 19’s team has connected with me to be a part of the show. Now, you all have to vote for me. Bigg Boss is a reality show, so it needs to have some real people as well. I am someone who has no filter, I don’t indulge in nonsense, and I will give my all to the game.”
Fans will be able to vote for Shebaz Badesha and Mridul Tiwari till August 21 midnight.
Bigg Boss 19 premieres on August 24. It will be a digital-first season, which will go on for five months. A fresh episode will drop on JioHotstar at 9 pm and on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.
