Seeman says ‘Kingdom’ will not be accepted in TN – News Today

Naam Tamilar Katchi leader Seeman has strongly opposed the Telugu film Kingdom, stating that it will never be accepted in Tamil Nadu. He alleged that the movie misrepresents the struggle of Eelam Tamils and portrays them in a negative light.

Speaking to the media, Seeman said that the film attempts to distort history and insult the sacrifices made by Sri Lankan Tamils. He condemned the filmmakers for spreading false narratives and warned that such content would not be tolerated in Tamil society.

Seeman also said that his party will launch protests if the film is screened in theatres across Tamil Nadu. He urged theatre owners to avoid releasing the movie and appealed to the state government to take appropriate action.

Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, has been released in Telugu and dubbed in Tamil. The movie has attracted criticism from various quarters for its alleged political messaging and depiction of Tamil issues. Seeman’s statement has added to the ongoing controversy surrounding the film’s release in Tamil Nadu.
