
After the beginning of the undergraduate exams at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), the entrance exam for select undergraduate programmes and the five-year integrated programmes will be conducted on May 15.

The exam is being conducted in an online proctored mode, for which applicants can appear from their homes. The exam is being conducted only for those courses which have received more applications than the intake capacity. These courses are available at Pune, Nashik sub-centre, and the Ahilyanagar sub-centre.
With around 1,300 seats available for undergraduate courses and 150 seats for integrated five-year courses, SPPU Pro Vice Chancellor Parag Kalkar said, “The admission process for various undergraduate courses at the SPPU has commenced. Prospective students are invited to select a course aligned with their interests and academic qualifications. Comprehensive details regarding the admission procedure are available on the university’s official website.”
Among the modern courses, the four-year BA Liberal arts has an intake capacity of 50, the four-year B.Sc. in 3D Animation and VFX has 120 seats, the four year B.Sc. (data science) has 60 seats, the four-year B.Sc. (Block Chain Technology) has 120 seats, the four-year B.Sc. (Data Science) has 240 seats, while various three-year BBA courses have an intake capacity ranging from 40 to 60.
Many vocational courses such as B.Voc in Renewable Energy Skills, B.Voc in Retail Management, and B.Voc. in Manufacturing Technology have around 30 to 50 seats. Five-year integrated courses are being offered in subjects like Integrated MA in Buddhist studies, Integrated MA in Pali, MA Dance, MA Music, MA Theatre and M.Sc in Biotechnology.
