DMDK General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth has clarified that her recent meeting with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was purely a courtesy visit.
Speaking to reporters, she stated the meeting was to personally inquire about the CM’s health and express gratitude for the state’s support during tough times for her family.
Premalatha emphasized that there was no political agenda behind the meeting and said it was done both in a personal capacity and on behalf of her party. Responding to media speculation, she firmly said, “It was not a political discussion.”
She also announced that DMDK’s election campaign will begin across Tamil Nadu on August 3, and that alliance decisions for the 2026 Assembly polls will be made and shared with the public at an appropriate time.
