People will decide who is next, says  Sivakarthikeyan  – News Today

Actor Sivakarthikeyan is all set for the release of Madharasi, his first collaboration with ace director A.R. Murugadoss. The action-packed entertainer hits theatres tomorrow. In a chat, the actor opens up about the film, his preparation, and what he thinks about being called the “next big star” of Tamil cinema.

Q: What can fans expect from Madharasi?

A: Madharasi is a full-fledged commercial entertainer with heavy action sequences. This is the most action I have done in a film so far. It’s got everything – action, romance, humour – a complete package for the audience.

Q: How was it working with A.R. Murugadoss?

A: Working with Murugadoss sir was easy and enjoyable. He wanted me to have a heavier and more intense look for this role, and that was a challenge. I had to focus on fitness, diet, and training to fit into the character.

Q: Tell us about your role in the film.

A: The film revolves around the theme of guns. The story is about a villain from the north and a hero from the south, and their clash. It’s an intense story, and I loved playing this character.

Q: How was the on-screen chemistry with Rukmini Vasanth?

A: Rukmini is a very talented actress, and she has brought a lot of energy to her role. Our chemistry has come out well on screen, and I’m sure the audience will enjoy it.

Q: Your films like Doctor and Amaran were very different. Was this a conscious choice?

A: Yes. I want every film I choose to be different. Doctor was dark humour, Amaran was a biopic, and now Madharasi is a mass commercial film. I like experimenting with genres.

Q: Many see you as the “next big star” after Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, and Ajith. How do you feel about that?

A: The people will decide who is next. I am ready to work hard. All four of them – Rajini sir, Kamal sir, Vijay sir, Ajith sir – have their own unique style. I don’t want to copy anyone. My only goal is to give good films to the audience.
