Ozzy Osbourne fans cruelly cashing in on star’s death by selling items from final concert for hundreds

Fans of the Ozzy Osbourne have been accused of cashing in on the death of the late Black Sabbath singer by selling trinkets, merchandise, and even individual flakes of confetti for extortionate prices online.

The 76-year-old passed away earlier this week on July 22 after paramedics battled for hours in an attempt to save his life at his Buckinghamshire home he shared with his wife, Sharon, 72.

His passing was announced via social media. A statement put out by his family read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Now, his so-called “fans” are flocking to online selling sites and listing tokens and merch from the singer’s last concert in Birmingham in an attempt to cash in on this death.

Seventy-four listings of confetti have been uploaded to online shopping website eBay, with it going for as high as £57 for four measly pieces collected from the singer’s last gig.

Desperate sellers have even put the confetti into keychains in an attempt to further double down on the Grammy winners’ passing.

As well as confetti, cash-strapped fans are also flogging the front page of newspapers announcing his death, tour posters and t-shirts, and autographs.

One user listed the Birmingham Mail published on the day the star died, along with a programme from his Back To the Beginning tour, for a staggering £63.

Someone is marketing a concert ticket from 1982 for over £1200, whilst another is selling a tour t-shirt for a whopping £1065.

It has been reported that on Tuesday emergency services and the air ambulance were called to the Black Sabbath singer’s house in Buckinghamshire.

It has also been reported that calls to emergency services led call handlers to believe that the singer’s life was in the balance when paramedics arrived.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Air Ambulance told The Daily Mail: “We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident near Chalfont St Giles yesterday.”

A chopper was dispatched from Thames Valley ambulance base at RAF Benson in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

The crew reportedly tried for over two hours to save the singers.

Details on the heavy metal star’s death have yet to be made public, however it’s noted he suffered from many health issues over the years.

In 2019, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which he said made his life an “absolute hell”. In 2023 the rock icon admitted on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that: It’s been five years of absolute hell for me and the family.

“My family has been so supportive,” the rocker added. “I couldn’t have done it without them. It’s been really a bad scene.”

As well as suffering from Parkinson’s, in the same year as his diagnosis he suffered a major neck injury from a fall that required major surgery.

Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, has yet to make a statement regarding her husband of 43 years’ death, however sources close to the former X-factor judge say: “she is very fragile”.

Ozzy leaves behind Sharon, and their three children, Jack, Aimee and Kelly, as well as Elliot, Jessica and Louis, whom he has outside his marriage.
