Mumbai Air Quality Index (AQI) Level Today, October 23, 2025: Recording a dip, the Air Quality Index (AQI) showed a reading of 116 on Thursday morning, according to the Air Quality Early Warning System. This falls under the ‘moderate’ category.

The highest AQI was recorded at Bandra-Kurla Complex (186) followed by Mazgaon (173), Bandra East (172), Navy Nagar Colaba (171) and Worli (168).

The air quality in Mumbai has been getting better, days after the Diwali spike. On Wednesday (October 22) Mumbai recorded an AQI of 141, after it dipped to ‘very poor’ category on Tuesday, showing the highest reading of 341 at India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Colaba station. This is the worst recorded AQI since the monsoon withdrawal on October 10. Usually, Mumbai records a rise in the overall AQI following Diwali every year.

The AQI reading is categorised as Good (0-50), Satisfactory (51-100), Moderately Polluted (101-200), Poor (201-300), Very Poor (301-400), and Severe (401-500). Higher the AQI reading, the unhealthier it is to breathe.

What does the weather look like today?

The temperature around 5.30 am is  26.4°C; the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 35 °C and 25°C. Moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in the districts of South Konkan-Goa stretch and at many places in districts of South Madhya Maharashtra .

As of 5.30 am,the AQI is 84 in Pune and it is 23°C.  The maximum and minimum temperatures in Pune are likely to be around 33°C and 21°C with a mainly clear sky that may become partly cloudy in the afternoon/evening.
