Meghan Markle marked America’s Independence Day by sharing a glimpse of her 4th of July celebrations on Instagram, posting a video of herself assembling a patriotic charcuterie and a throwback to her second date with Prince Harry.
Eagle eyed royal fans quickly spotted that the Duchess of Sussex, 43, was sporting a designer blouse that had been sported in a similar style to Princess Kate during her visit to Colchester Hospital.
The Ralph Lauren striped ‘Capri’ shirt, priced at £575, was worn by the Princess of Wales as she was pictured discussing her health journey last week.
In her video, Meghan was seen wearing the same top in her videos but with blue stripes over white.

However, that in itself appeared to also be a callback to the Duchess of Sussex’s appearance alongside Princess Kate during Wimbledon in 2018.
Meghan appeared to be wearing the same blouse as she attended the tennis championships with Kate at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
The intriguing fashion patterns were one insight of many shared during the Duchess’s celebration of the 4th of July, which marks the United States’s independence from Great Britain in 1776.
In one of her posts, Meghan showed off the sweet “tradition” shared between her and Prince Harry was now enjoyed by their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Meghan began her latest message with a reflection on her second date with Prince Harry, which fell on July 4, where “H brought me cupcakes to celebrate”.
“Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition,” she added excitedly, showing some treats Archie and Lilibet had made.
The picture showed a plate of seven cupcakes decorated in patriotic red, white and blue icing and toppings.
While neither Archie or Lilibet could be seen in the photo, a pair of small hands were holding up the plate for the photo.

Also featured the carousel was a selfie from appeared to be Harry and Meghan’s second date, showing the pair cheek to cheek and reclining on a sofa.
Following that image was what seemed to be one of the cupcakes the Duke of Sussex had gifted Meghan during their date. The sweet treat featured “4th of July” written in red icing.
“Happy Independence Day! May your day be as sweet as these cupcakes,” Meghan captioned the selection of heartwarming pics.
Earlier, Meghan was filmed assembling a charcuterie board that took the form of the US flag in videos posted to both her main account and that of her As Ever lifestyle brand.

“Simply Entertaining, Happy 4th of July,” flashed on the screen in Meghan’s handwriting before she was seen assembling the ingredients
The clip prominently featured her, once again out of stock, raspberry spread as she spooned some into a dipping bowl.
In what appeared to be an unscripted moment, the Duchess dropped a raspberry into the bowl before fishing it out and eating it with a giggle.
“Red, white and blue and easy to do! Happy 4th, friends Be safe, have fun,” Meghan captioned the post.
