Meghan Markle and Prince Harry enjoyed a special backstage moment with legendary musician James Taylor following his concert on Tuesday, May 13.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared photos from the encounter on Instagram the following day, captioning them: “In my concert era Thanks James!”
The images revealed Taylor, 77, signing copies of his pop-up lullaby children’s book “Sweet Baby James” for the couple.
The thoughtful gift appeared to be intended for the couple’s young children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

Taylor’s “Sweet Baby James” book, published in 2018, takes its name from his 1970 breakthrough album.
The six-time Grammy winner has previously explained that the book and accompanying song, which he described as a “cowboy lullaby,” were inspired by his young nephew James, who was named after him.
The signed copies will have made a meaningful gift for the Sussex children, adding a personal touch to the couple’s backstage experience with the music icon.
Meghan opted for a classic navy sweater and black skirt for the concert outing.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received gifts for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet during the outing.
Harry chose a casual yet ensemble featuring a grey t-shirt, herringbone grey peacoat, black jeans, black belt and a coordinating grey beanie.
Taylor rose to fame with hits including “Fire and Rain,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” and “Carolina In My Mind.”
His illustrious career has earned him six Grammy Awards and a lasting legacy in American music.
The royal couple’s backstage visit with Taylor came just days after another high-profile concert experience.
