A massive fire broke out on Monday afternoon at a furniture godown in Trivedi Camp village in Dera Bassi, Mohali, reducing goods worth lakhs of rupees to ashes. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to control the flames after an intense operation.

According to available information, the incident occurred around 4:30 pm at D.D. Furniture’s warehouse, which is attached to its main showroom. The godown stored both finished and raw furniture materials. Reportedly, sparks from stubble burning in a nearby field triggered the blaze, which quickly engulfed the dry wooden stock, sending flames high into the air.

Residents of the area acted promptly and managed to save a significant portion of the furniture before the fire spread further.
