Madras High Court, CBI court receive bomb threat

The Madras High Court buildings in Chennai as well as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court building located within the High Court campus received a bomb threat on Monday evening leading to the entire premises being scoured by the bomb detection and disposal squad. According to court sources, Registrar General S. Alli received an e-mail at around 5 p.m. threatening of bomb blasts at the High Court buildings, CBI buildings and the official residence of the Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami in Chennai.
