King Charles appears in good spirits during solo Sandringham visit after sharing positive health update

King Charles shared some positive health news as he attended a Sunday service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk.

The King appeared in high spirits as he waved to gathered royal watchers after the service.

Charles appears to have worshipped by himself on the day, as Queen Camilla was by his side during the trip.

His Majesty walked the grounds of the church wearing a light grey summer suit and a pair of smart brown suede shoes.

The monarch, who carried a black umbrella, beamed as he waved to members of the public gathered outside the gates of St Mary Magdalene Church.

Charles’s good mood appears to be continuing from his buoyant appearance alongside the Queen at Newmarket earlier this week.

While there, the monarch stopped to speak with fans and shared an update about his cancer journey.

One of those present, Lee Harman, 54, spoke with His Majesty and discussed their respective health battles.

“I had the opportunity to exchange a few words with the King and asked him about his cancer journey,” the Bury St Edmunds resident began.

“I asked him how he was, and he said he was feeling a lot better now and that it was ‘just one of those things,” he shared.

The encouraging update from Charles prompted him to then ask how Harman himself was faring.

“He asked me how I was and I said ‘I’m all good’, I got the all clear from cancer last year,” the 54-year-old recalled.

The King’s comment about his ongoing treatment being now “just one of those things” reflected a previous insight from a royal aid earlier in May.

Speaking during Charles’s tour of Canada, they said: “The thing you learn about this illness (cancer) is that you just manage it. And that’s what he does.”

The insider revealed they “genuinely see no difference” in the King as he underwent treatment.

“As long as you just do what the doctors say, just live your life as normal as possible and that’s exactly what he is doing.

The King’s appearance followed a positive update about his cancer journey earlier this week

“It’s no secret that he is still having treatment but because he is incredibly fit, he is just dealing with it all incredibly well,” he told Hello! Magazine.

“As everybody knows, he is driven by duty, so he just gets on with it,” they concluded.

King Charles’s cancer treatment dominated news coverage for much of 2024, after it was announced on January 17 that he was receiving treatment for an enlarged prostate.

On February 5, 2024, Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer and would begin treatment.
