Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone beer products have been recalled due to a “possible health risk” for certain customers.
The Cotswold Brewing Company Limited has issued the recall for Hawkstone Black and Hawkstone Spa Lager after discovering they may contain wheat (gluten) not mentioned on the label.
This poses a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or those with coeliac disease.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a recall notice for the affected products.

The recall affects all batch codes of Hawkstone Black 440ml cans and Hawkstone Spa Lager 330ml cans.
Both products are sold through Waitrose supermarkets and the brewery’s own website.
The issue stems from undeclared wheat content in the beverages, which was not listed on the product labels.
Customers who have purchased these items are being advised not to consume them if they have wheat allergies or coeliac disease.
A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency said: “The Cotswold Brewing Company Limited is recalling the above products from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
“If you have bought any of the above products and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease, do not consume them.
“Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund. For more information, please contact info@hawkstone.com or call 01451 824488.”
A spokesperson from Hawkstone said: “We have issued an allergen alert for Hawkstone Spa Lager and Hawkstone Black as they contain wheat, which is not currently listed on the product label.
“All customers who have purchased these items have been notified that they can return them for a full refund.
“Both Hawkstone Spa Lager and Hawkstone Black remain fit for consumption for those who do not have a wheat allergy. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
A spokesman for The Cotswold Brewing Company Limited added: “Customer safety is of paramount importance to The Cotswold Brewing Company Limited and we take all issues regarding the production of our products extremely seriously.
“We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused.”

The company has issued point-of-sale notices to its customers explaining why the products are being recalled and what to do if they have purchased them.
The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to inform consumers and local authorities about problems with food products.
Clarkson launched his Hawkstone beer and cider brand in 2021, offering a range of premium British beers and ciders.
The products use barley grown at Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
Alongside his beer brand, Clarkson opened The Farmer’s Dog pub in Asthall, near Burford in Oxfordshire, last August.
However, the business venture, which will feature prominently in the upcoming fourth season of Clarkson’s Farm, has been far from plain sailing.
