King Charles and Queen Camilla are beginning Royal Family celebrations to mark VE Day today.
There will be a contingent of Royal Family members based on the Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace to watch a procession down The Mall from Whitehall in honour of those who served during World War Two.
Once the parade has ended, the Royal Family will return to Buckingham Palace before appearing on the balcony to watch a flypast.
Veterans will watch the flypast from the gardens of Buckingham Palace with the Prime Minister and other senior guests.

Royals attending – The Waleses, The Edinburghs and Princess Anne
Princess Kate, 43, and Prince William, 42, are joining the Royal Family celebrations today to mark VE Day, starting with the flypast at Buckingham Palace.
Also attending are Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and her husband, Timothy Laurence, and finally the Duke of Kent.
These specific royals will additionally be joining a tea party at Buckingham Palace later this afternoon, hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla.
The reception will welcome around 50 veterans and people who lived through World War Two – now supported by the Royal British Legion – including British and Commonwealth Armed Forces veterans, WRENs, Special Operations Executives and those who contributed to the war effort on the home front, accompanied by their families and carers.

The Marble Corridor of Buckingham Palace will be decorated in bunting made from fabrics recycled from the royal estates.
It has not yet been confirmed if the Prince and Princess of Wales will be joined by their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, seven.
In addition, it has not been confirmed if the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will be accompanied by their children, Lady Louise Windsor, 21, and James, Earl of Wessex, 17.
Louise is currently a student at the University of St Andrews, so she is likely currently prepping for her exams.

Royals who will be absent – Prince Andrew, The Tindalls, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and the Sussexes
The royals present on today’s Buckingham Palace balcony appearance will be strictly limited to working members.
This excludes Prince Andrew, Zara and Mike Tindall, the York sisters, and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The Duke of York, 65, and his daughters were present on Easter Sunday to support the King at church.
However, since Queen Elizabeth II’s death, Buckingham Palace balcony appearances have prioritised solely working royals and their children.
