Cordon and search operation conducted in Kurnool city


A massive cordon and search operation was conducted in Kurnool city on Saturday (April 05) as part of the police efforts to keep a tab on anti-social elements towards its aim to make the district a crime-free one.

On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patel, Kurnool Deputy Superintendent of Police Babu Prasad along with the circle inspectors, sub-inspectors, special party and armed reserve police have formed into teams and conducted the cordon and search operation in the Weaker Section Colony under the IV Town police limits. Searches were conducted in the residences of history-sheeters and trouble mongers and a foot patrol was conducted in the colony.

Police found 10 vehicles without valid documents and seized them. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Babu Prasad asked people not to resort to any anti-social activities and inform police about any criminal activities in the locality. He warned of severe action against any kind of anti-social activities.
