SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also took a dig at BJP MP Anurag Thakur over the latter’s recent remarks, in which the MP suggested to a group of students that the “first space traveller was Hanuman ji”. “Now, BJP leaders are claiming that Bhagwan Hanuman went to space first” said Akhilesh, adding that the “BJP and its leaders believe less in astronomy and more in astrology.”
Reacting to Yadav’s remarks later in the day, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak demanded an apology from him, claiming that the SP chief “disrespected both Hanuman ji and astrology.”
