
Union Minister L. Murugan has said that the decision on the Chief Ministerial candidate for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be taken jointly by the BJP and AIADMK leadership.
Speaking to reporters, Murugan stated that both Union Home Minister Amit Shah and AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami will hold discussions and come to a mutual agreement on who will lead the alliance as the CM face.
He added that the decision would not be taken unilaterally and that the BJP-AIADMK alliance will work together on all key matters, including seat sharing and campaign planning, for the upcoming election.
