Alesha Dixon has appeared to take a swipe at current Britain’s Got Talent judges, suggesting she preferred the show’s previous lineup.
The 46-year-old singer, who has been a judge on the ITV talent show since 2012, made the comments during an appearance on former show regular David Walliams‘ Making A Scene podcast which he co-hosts with Matt Lucas.
Dixon hinted that the chemistry of the current judging panel doesn’t quite measure up to the previous foursome.
Her remarks come as the show is currently in the midst of its 18th season, with live semi-finals taking place each Saturday for the next six weeks.

Speaking on the podcast, Dixon reminisced about the previous panel that included herself, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams.
“You never know what the chemistry is going to be like. But the four of us together were magic,” she said.
The former Mis-Teeq star was particularly nostalgic about their decade-long collaboration.
“The 10 years we did together was special. We were the best judging panel on telly – the Fab Four,” Dixon added.

Walliams left Britain’s Got Talent in 2022 following controversy over comments he allegedly made about contestants that were caught on tape.
Following his exit, sources close to Walliams and Cowell revealed they were “no longer on speaking terms at all” amid a bitter feud, per the Daily Mail.
Another insider reported: “Simon and David fell out pretty bitterly, or at least that is the message that his (Simon’s) friends are keen to get out there.”
The Little Britain star was subsequently replaced by Italian dance expert Bruno Tonioli, 69, who had previously served as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing from 2004 until 2019.
Dixon herself had been poached from Strictly, where she was a judge from 2009 until 2011, before joining BGT in 2012.
The current judging panel consists of head judge Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli – with guest appearances from social media star KSI when the Italian is unavailable.

In the podcast, Dixon also reflected on her transition from Strictly Come Dancing to Britain’s Got Talent.
“I’d already made the decision to leave Strictly. I knew I was only going to do three years,” she explained, adding she made the move to seek new challenges.
“I wanted to try something new. I enjoy Britain’s Got Talent so much, which is why I’ve been there for so long,” Dixon said.
Dixon’s comments come after Walliams launched a far less subtle barb at Simon Cowell earlier this month at Advertising Week Europe 2025.
The comedian addressed winning best judge at the National TV Awards four times while appearing alongside Cowell on Britain’s Got Talent.
“Simon Cowell never won. And that’s all he does, judges. Judging is just a tiny part of what I do,” Walliams sniped.
“That’s all he does is judging. It was a tiny part of my career. For him, it was the focus and he still couldn’t win it,” he reiterated.
