AIADMK removes two district-level leaders from party roles – News Today

Chennai:

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has removed two of its district-level functionaries from key party positions. The action was taken following orders from the party’s General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami.

Anandakumar, who was the youth wing secretary of Dindigul West district, and Anandababu, who was the deputy secretary of the party’s IT wing in Thiruvarur district, have both been dismissed from their posts.

In addition to this, the party has cancelled their basic membership. A statement from the AIADMK said that members should not maintain any connection with the two removed leaders.

The decision was reportedly taken because the two had acted in ways that went against party rules and discipline. The AIADMK leadership has made it clear that it will not tolerate any behaviour that damages the party’s image.
