Aarya Babbar on how dogs get scared of firecrackers during Diwali; ‘I understand that pain’ - Exclusive

Being a pet parent comes with its own joys and responsibilities. Perhaps the joys outweigh the responsibility part, and that’s why, while speaking to us, actor Aarya Babbar shared that his dog child, Happy Babbar, is the light of his life. It goes without saying that Aarya loves him unconditionally, and thus, it pains him to see his dog child and other dogs scared when people burst too many firecrackers.

Aarya Babbar understands the pain and fear

While speaking to us, Aarya shared that though his own childhood core memory is of bursting a long string of firecrackers, now as a pet parent, he understands how wrong it was.“I think my core Diwali memory has to be our father, bringing a very, very, very long firecracker (ladi) string, which is so wrong in so many ways, which we used to light. The one that goes on for kilometers. There is a rope bomb in the middle of it, and it will keep going on for nothing less than 10-15 minutes. So I have that very strong memory of enjoying it. But at the same time, very paranoid about it. And getting a bit irritated. Because when will this end?” he mentioned. He then continued, “And today, I have a dog child. I get very angry when people burst so many crackers. I understand that pain and that fear that goes on in those children’s minds, during that time.”

Happy Babbar, the light of Aarya Bababar’s life

Speaking of his dog child, Aarya shared, “My Happy, my dog child, he’s the light of my life.”“Every single day when I leave him, I am upset, and every single day when I reach back home, the first thing I say and when I enter the house, I scream, Happy, Happy, I’m home, and he comes running to me and we both play and love each other,” Aarya concluded.
