
A team of Lokayukta police searched Mangaluru and Puttur on Thursday for survey supervisor M.R. Manjunath’s fixed and movable assets.
According to Lokayukta police, assets related to Mr. Manjunath were searched following the registration of a case against the official for alleged illegal possession of assets above his known sources of income.
The Lokayukta police searched Manjunath’s office in Mangaluru City Corporation. They also visited his house in Bejai. The team also visited the property in Puttur, which Mr. Manjunath recently sold. They also visited another property of Mr. Manjunath in Kavoor, Mangaluru.
The team recovered documents related to nine sites of Mr. Manjuanth and two of his houses. The Lokayuka police said they also found him possessing ₹17 lakh worth of gold and silver articles and a car worth ₹5 lakh.
