With the 100-ball game being shorter, it could result in the fans not witnessing innings like that. The excitement of huge totals can also be destroyed because of this.
3. Players will take time to get used to the format: The IPL is a platform which also promotes talent and with every new format it takes time for players to get used to it. This could also lead to some talented players to miss out and also affect their confidence.

Though the IPL shifting from T20 to 100-ball format might lead to some exciting changes within the tournament in the end the new rules might affect the chances of some players who are still getting used to the format. The T20 format is still getting a lot of viewership than the Hundred and it will be a big risk to change it.
