Calls grow for Prince William to promote York sisters

Calls are growing for Prince William to promote his cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as working royals after their rare engagement received huge praise on social media.

Princess Eugenie shared a statement on Instagram following her recent visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at UCLH with her mother, Sarah Ferguson, and sister, Princess Beatrice.

“We are so proud to be Honorary Patrons of Teenage Cancer Trust,” she wrote.

The Princess explained they met with young patients and their families, as well as the nurses and youth workers supporting them.

“It is so important to shine a light on the charity’s vital work, and the unique challenges young people with cancer face,” she added.

The royal visit sparked enthusiasm among fans, with many expressing their desire to see the York sisters take on more official royal duties.

“Thank you very much,” commented one supporter on Eugenie’s post. Others added: “Amazing” and “Well done Princess.”

One fan wrote on X: “Both Beatrice and Eugenie never left the Royal Family, despite having diminished roles. They both support the working, primary royals because they have a strong sense of family.”

The sisters’ joint appearance clearly resonated with royal watchers.

The York sisters have maintained a consistent presence at royal events despite not being working royals.

Beatrice and Eugenie recently attended the Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, where they were photographed with their mother, Sarah.

The sisters’ continued participation in charitable work demonstrates their commitment to royal service.

Their well-received engagement at the Teenage Cancer Trust ward has renewed calls for them to step into more prominent royal roles.

With several senior royals facing health challenges over the past year, including King Charles and Princess Kate, there appears to be growing public support for Beatrice and Eugenie to increase their official duties.

Their natural ease at public engagements and strong family loyalty make them ideal candidates to bolster the working royal ranks.

The joint appearance with their mother demonstrated their capability to represent the monarchy with both warmth and dignity.

During their visit, the Royal Family members met with young people and their families currently receiving treatment.

They also spoke with Teenage Cancer Trust and NHS nurses and youth workers supporting the patients.
