Prince William admits he felt ‘surprised’ by King Charles’s latest move

Prince William has admitted he felt “surprised” by King Charles’s latest move.

William was welcomed with hugs and requests for selfies during his Thursday visit to Mentivity House youth club in south London.

The Prince demonstrated impressive skills at Mario Kart during the engagement.

He revealed to those present that he had done his homework before the visit, having “swatted up” by watching a YouTube video about the organisation.

The video was directed by Adeyemi Michael in partnership with Spotify.

William’s visit to the youth club showcased his ability to connect with young people through shared interests like gaming.

During the visit, the Prince was asked about his thoughts on King Charles’s recently released 17-song playlist for Apple Music Radio.

William responded with a laugh, saying: “I was expecting a lot of classical music, so I was surprised.”

The King’s musical selections for the podcast, titled “The King’s Music Room”, featured popular artists rather than the traditional classical compositions one might expect.

Among the featured artists were Kylie Minogue, Bob Marley and Grace Jones.

The Prince’s candid reaction highlighted the unexpected contemporary taste of the 76-year-old monarch.

The revelation offered a glimpse into the Royal Family’s more personal side.

When asked if he thought his father might have included some “Garage and UK Funky” music in the playlist, William responded: “I’m not sure he’d know what that was.”

The humorous exchange with Adeyemi Michael highlighted the generational gap in musical tastes within the Royal Family.

The King’s unexpected playlist choices have sparked interest among royal watchers.
