Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen, 50, has taken to social media to hit out at thieves who stole flags from a sheep pen in Yorkshire.
The writer and TV personality, also known as The Yorkshire Shepherdess, took to Instagram today to express her frustration at the hooligans who “desecrated” the well-kept spot.
In a two and a half minute video posted to Reels, she expressed her “anger” at the vandals who stole the flag poles.
Showing the camera a gap in a low stone wall, she said: “That happens and can be remedied – I’m talking about this. You might ask yourself what has happened there?
“At some point in the last couple of days somebody has come to these pens on the border between Cumbria and Yorkshire and has come into these beautiful pens that have been stood here for centuries, and they have dug up and taken the flags out of the floor.
“Can you imagine this floor has stood the test of time and has been here for hundreds of years? This isn’t a place that isn’t used – This is a place that has history.”
The frustrated farmer then motions to a small stone outhouse: “This is a little building where shepherds and farmers in our area actually work and we put strays in here.
“At some point over the last couple of days somebody has taken it upon themselves to desecrate it.”
She continued: “Whether they had a job for these flags or got them thinking no-one was using them, but they have reversed in here badly – I do hope they dented their van – and loaded up. I think that absolutely stinks.”
“It’s our heritage. It’s an ancient, ancient building, and I don’t think there is any need to do that kind of thing.”
The star doubled down on her feelings in the post’s caption, saying she was “Cross, cross, cross”.
The caption read: “Cross, cross, cross. This is not the normal kind of post I do. Not the kind of post that I want to do.
“I know that it will not make any difference whatsoever but still I hope that someone, somewhere might feel a little uncomfortable or even ashamed.

“They are still in use to this day.”

The Our Yorkshire Farm star split from her husband Clive, 69, in a shock separation back in 2022, after 21 years of marriage.
Amanda and her ex-husband met in 1996 when Clive was working at Ravenseat, and she visited to collect a ram to mate with her ewes.
The pair married in 2000 after four years of dating, and went on to have nine children, one of whom, Reuben, 21, now has his own Channel 5 show called Reuben: Life in the Dales.
Amanda is currently working on renovating her farmhouse near Ravenseat, where she lives with her family.
The project is the focus of her new Channel 4 series “Our Farm Next Door,” which follows her and her family, including ex-husband Clive, as they restore the property
