Street Woman Fighter dancer LeeJung Lee couldn’t stop gushing about BTS member V after the two collaborated for a viral dance challenge. The professional dancer and choreographer appeared for an interview at a café in Yongsan, Seoul, on July 24 to talk about her upcoming projects and her participation in Mnet’s World Championship, including her recent creative gig on the animated film K-Pop: Demon Hunters. Lee described V as someone who, despite not being a dancer by profession, completely changed the way she looked at her career.

For Lee, who has choreographed BLACKPINK and TWICE, dance is more than just a job. When asked about her viral dance clip with the Dynamite crooner, Lee said, “He’s someone I genuinely look up to, a true role model for me.” She revealed meeting V through dance, adding, “He loves dance just as much as I do, and that creates a real connection between us. We have great synergy when we meet.” The 26-year-old described dance as her profession, something she fully immerses herself in, with no space for slip-ups. But for Taehyung, it’s just one part of what he does. “He also has to sing and do many other things, yet he still genuinely loves dance as much as I do. And he’s really humble and works even harder than I do,” she said, before adding, “Watching him makes me feel like I can’t afford to make compromises. If he works that hard, then since it’s my profession, I have to work even harder. He’s someone who gives me tremendous energy.”
Lee and Taehyung’s first collaboration before the singer’s military enlistment sparked massive buzz, with fans now calling for the duo to team up again. The three-part challenge, choreographed by Lee, kicked off with the two dancing to “What’s Your Fantasy (feat. Shawnna).” The next two videos were filmed the day after his military discharge, set to “Don’t Drop That Thun Thun (Remix 98 BPM)” and “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME.”
Leejung was part of Team Korea Bumsup in World of Street Woman Fighter, which wrapped up its run on Friday. The reality show was the third part of the popular franchise that started back in 2021 and since has had several spin-offs, including Street Dance Girls Fighter (2021–23) and Street Man Fighter (2022). “Through the show, I came to realise once again how incredible it is to have so many people watching, not just for entertainment, but to really engage in conversations about dance and what makes a great piece. That alone felt like a dream. Honestly, it feels like a miracle,” Lee said during the interview, via Korea JoongAng Daily. The young dancer recently expanded her hustle to animation with Netflix hit movie K-pop: Demon Hunters, where she choreographed HUNTR/X’s “How It’s Done” and Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop.”
