A home in Los Angeles’s Los Feliz neighbourhood, reportedly owned by actor Brad Pitt, was “ransacked” on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department was quoted as saying by BBC.
The burglars entered the residence through a front window at night. While the police have not confirmed the identity of the homeowner, the address of the property matches that of a home that Brad Pitt had purchased in 2023.
The three-bedroom property is located just outside Griffith Park, near the iconic Hollywood Sign. It is surrounded by dense greenery and a large fence, which helps shield it from public view.
‘Brad Pitt was abroad’
Authorities said the suspects fled with stolen items, though it remains unclear what was taken. The police has not confirmed whether Pitt was home during the incident. The BBC reported it reached out to representatives for Pitt, but no response was received.
The actor was in the UK earlier this week for the London premiere of F1, his upcoming film. He appeared at the event alongside fellow actor Tom Cruise and Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton.
No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
The burglary adds to a series of recent incidents targeting celebrity homes in Los Angeles, reported BBC. Similar cases involving stars like Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been reported. Last month, a man was arrested for allegedly ramming his vehicle into the gate of the home of Jennifer Aniston, Pitt’s ex-wife, and was charged with stalking and vandalism.
