Police have arrested 4 persons for murdering a garment shop owner and chopping off his head on Wednesday.
When garment shop owner K. Kutralingam, 36, of Kasimajorpuram near Courtallam, who was living in Keezha Puliyoor near Tenkasi, was murdered by a 4-member gang even as he had gone to the ration shop along with his wife on Wednesday afternoon. The murderers chopped off his head and placed it near the Amman Temple in Kasimajorpuram.
During investigation, the Tenkasi police found that Kutralingam’s brother is an accused in the murder of Patturaj of Kasimajorpuram. Hence, Patturaj’s relatives had murdered Kutralingam and chopped off his head and placed at the spot where Patturaj was murdered.
Subsequently, the police arrested Ramasubramanian alias Ramesh, 25, Harihara Sudhan, 24, both from Kasimajorpuram, at Courtallam on Thursday. On the information provided by the duo, the police also nabbed Shenbagam, 40, and Mani alias ‘Puraa’ Mani, 25, from Tiruchendur.
