Two schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails Wednesday morning, the second time this week that schools in the national capital got such threats, prompting authorities to conduct searches on the premises.
On Monday, 32 private schools, including DPS Dwarka, received bomb threat emails, which were later declared a hoax.
According to an official of Delhi Fire Service (DFS), they received the call regarding the bomb threats from Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Malviya Nagar at 7.40 am, and Andhra School in Prasad Nagar at 7.42 am.
Personnel of the fire department, bomb detection team (BDT), bomb disposal squad (BDS), and Dog Squad rushed to the schools to conduct the searches, the official said.
Nothing suspicious has been found so far, the official said, adding that the schools have been closed.
On Monday, a Delhi Police officer said all bomb threat emails were sent via Gmail, had similar content, and they suspected the emails were sent by the same person.
In July, St Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley in Vasant Kunj, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, Mother’s International in Hauz Khas, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate received bomb threat emails. They were later declared a hoax.

The Delhi Police said they apprehended a 12-year-old schoolboy who allegedly sent emails to a school and a college affiliated with the University of Delhi.
In 2022, a private school in Sadiq Nagar received such a threat, and in 2023, similar threats were sent to different schools on three separate occasions.
The police found that school students were behind the emails in all the cases. The students, who were later caught and counselled, said they sent such threats to avoid examinations, get a day off, or simply as a prank.
However, last May, more than 200 schools received bomb threats via email. Similar threats were sent to several hospitals, colleges, and the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital.
